Panel on “Impact Measurement: Views from the experts” to be presented at SOCAP15 and more…
- On September 28th Paul DiLeo will assist a Harvard Business School/Kennedy School seminar on public business and public policy examining the failure of Banex, at the time the largest microfinance institution in Nicaragua.
- Grassroots has organized a panel on “Impact Measurement: Views from the experts” to be presented at this years SOCAP15, October 8th. The panel will be moderated by Paul DiLeo and feature five leading impact investors discussing their views towards social performance and impact metrics — what and how to measure, whether to set targets, and how to incorporate metrics into the investment process.
- On October 15-16th Anna Kanze will attend the “Measuring What Matters Summit” organized by B-Lab in Portland, Oregon. The Summit is a chance for diverse users – investors, governments, supply chain managers, biz networks – to share experience and best practices using the B Impact Assessment, B Analytics, and GIIRS Ratings.
- On October 22nd Paul DiLeo will attend the High Water Women Investing for Impact Symposium in NYC.
- Grassroots’ team members will attend the FOROMIC on October 26-28th in Santiago, Chile. The equity fund Prospero Microfinanzas managed by Grassroots will hold an Advisory Board meeting on the 28th.
- On November 4th Paul DiLeo will present a Virtual Dialogue for the Africa Board Fellowship (ABF) program on strategies for navigating challenging and competitive environments.
- On November 16-18th, Paul DiLeo will lead sessions on Competitive Environments; Strategy; and Board Dynamics at the second in-person seminar of the ABF program in Capetown, South Africa.
- Grassroots will participate in the European Microfinance Week 2015 in Luxembourg, 18-20th November. On the 19th Paul DiLeo will present Grassroots’ assessment of governance of the AfriCap equity fund. The assessment, commissioned by Calmeadow and several AfriCap investors, was published March of this year – read Grassroots’ assessment.
