GIIRS in Practice: Interview with Prospero’s Fund Manager

Fernando Prado, Fund Manager of the Latin American equity fund Prospero Microfinanzas, was interviewed recently about the significance of the GIIRS rating for the fund and its portfolio company ODEF Financiera SA., a Honduran microfinance institution.

Prospero, co-managed by Grassroots and BIM, was recognized as a 2016 Best for the World fund for its investments in impactful companies, and ODEF is a prime example: the company has been GIIRS-rated since 2014 and received the top score of Platinum for its Impact Business Models in serving those in need, community practices, and its mission-lock governance structure.
